A Pilot’s House

It is a project for a young family with a daughter. The father is a pilot, and he has an extensive collection of model planes, for which we had to provide a place. Discussing the interior concept, the atmosphere, the lady of the house sent us an insanely beautiful and pacifying picture of a foggy forest with a lake. The picture became the premier source of inspiration. Relaxing elements, natural materials and shades, and a bit of fun are the components of this apartment, welcoming to be in.

Total Relax

It is a project for a young family with a daughter. The father is a pilot, and he has an extensive collection of model planes, for which we had to provide a place. Discussing the interior concept, the atmosphere, the lady of the house sent us an insanely beautiful and pacifying picture of a foggy forest with a lake. The picture became the premier source of inspiration. Relaxing elements, natural materials and shades, and a bit of fun are the components of this apartment, welcoming to be in.

And Singing Birds

The white and yellow walls in the kid’s bedroom are bright and sunny. We installed the white cabinet from IKEA in a specially equipped niche and decorated it with lively birds. The birdy theme continues in a carpet and a floor lamp. The crib looks like a little house; it has drawers for toys. There are storage units, bookshelves, a small table, and a little chair to do something fun. A comfortable armchair is perfect for evening readings; besides, it transforms into a full bed for a grandmother to sleep on.

A Lake House

We combined the bedroom with the balcony, however, leaving the glass partitions in the frame to zone the room. Besides, it is required by Russian law. We installed the floor-mounted convector for heating. The centerpiece is the magical foggy forest above the headboard – a symbol of the interior and a central point of the design; it sets the mood of the bedroom. The accent green wall behind the TV and wooden panels on the wall to the side of the bed support the natural theme of the room. There is a dressing table, a wall-mounted drawer, and a large illuminated mirror on the side of the bed. The balcony has a comfortable armchair and a built-in closet. And what a fantastic view!

(Almost) Under the Open Sky

We wanted to create a unique atmosphere in the bathroom for the father to rest properly after a flight. We used natural, calming materials. The built-in sink is framed by wood. The lathed ceiling has integrated LED lighting. We decorated the wall behind the bathtub with the panel depicting tropical plants. The combination of wood and green takes the thoughts away to Asia, where the bathroom is often arranged in the open.

On the Bright Side

Decorating the WC, we let ourselves loose a bit. We decided to add bright colors and even change the style a little, though, still fitting the general concept. We selected stunning hand-made tiles, Corona Jolie – small tiles with different patterns. The wall in the shower-cabin is decorated with yellow and gray zigzag tiles, an unusual pattern. The wall behind the built-in sink is coral pink. A city panorama balances this variety of colors – it has all of them. Colorful and elegant!

Between Heaven and Earth

We decorated one wall of the entry with large plate-glass mirrors. Some shelves in the large closet are open – first, to enliven the interior, and second, to put things there and forget about them after a flight. The hall is adorned with the world map, where the owners can mark the already visited countries and cities. They are plenty in the pilot’s family.

Unite and Divide

It is a standard two-bedroom apartment of almost 100 sq.m. in a new building. A free layout with a few load-bearing walls and some walls around bathrooms greatly facilitated the work. We had to design the master bedroom, kid’s bedroom, and kitchen combined with the living room. The apartment is comfortable and functional. There is a walk-in closet in the bedroom. To leave more space in the bathroom, we designed a small laundry room near it. The kitchen and living room look as one, but not quite. There is a functional structure in the center to zone the room. On the kitchen side, it is storage space; on the living room side, it is a wall for hanging the TV. There is a large storage closet in the entry.
