A Cyprus Bungalow

This bungalow in Cyprus has a magnificent terrace with a sea view. The house is on a small hill, which allows for stunning views. The house owners intend to rent it out. For this reason, they wanted to create an atmosphere of a Mediterranean-style seaside resort. We had our way to interpret it, however, keeping many quintessential elements, such as ceiling beams, shades of blue, cyan, and aqua, a lot of wood in the decoration. As a result, this marine style interior is airy, light, and cozy.

Wanderlust

We put a one-of-a-kind intentionally aged world map on one wall. For other walls – as well as for made-to-order bed frames – we selected shaded green color to match the map, complemented by the gray of poufs, pillows and window blinds. We kept the built-in closet as it was but changed its doors for the louvered ones, also painted in green. The unique spider chandelier adorns the sloping ceiling.

A Resort Spirit

To highlight azure walls of the bedroom, we used natural wood decor elements – herringbone laminate on the wall behind the headboard – and gray window blinds. Closet doors are louvered and painted white, with wooden knobs.

A Beacon of Cleanliness

We decided to make the master bathroom snow-white. For clean lines not to look too dull, we added stylish wood decorations and elements of loft design – ceiling lights and captain’s mirror.

A Time to Rest

The open terrace, or patio, is, perhaps, the main room in this house. It has a sitting area, a fully-featured dining room, and even a barbecue area to have fun with friends. The terrace is decorated with food and sun-protected by an exceptional awning.

All That’s Needed … and Patio

The bungalow area is 80 sq.m. We kept the original layout, as it was quite logical: the small entry room, bathroom, guestroom, living room/dining room, and the large master bedroom with master bathroom. And, of course, the terrace with the barbecue area.
